Dental Diploma Privilege

Program Description

The Dental Diploma Privilege makes Marquette University’s School of Dentistry the administrator of practical examinations required to be a licensed dentist in Wisconsin. The privilege was granted in agreement with the School of Dentistry, DSPS, the Wisconsin Dental Association, the state Dentistry Examining Board, and Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Marquette School of Dentistry graduates who want to practice in Wisconsin will no longer have to take a costly post-graduate practical exam, with the dental school’s more-thorough curriculum serving as evidence of their practical skills. This enables Marquette dental students to satisfy this credentialing requirement prior to graduation and receive their license to practice within a few days of graduation.
